Castro and Thorpe will discuss the continued challenges to tuberculosis elimination efforts in the United States and abroad, and this week’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report articles, “Progress Toward Tuberculosis Control – India, 2001” and “Tuberculosis Outbreak on an American Indian Reservation – Montanta, 2000-2001”

The MMWR also includes the provisional number of TB cases in the United States for 2001.
