The seminar will introduce and explain the use of wireless technology and equipment that will enable improved service in both urban and rural settings. Satellite and terrestrial systems will be discussed in connection with homeland defense. A special session will be held that will address the broader impact that high speed communications can have in rural areas.
Attend if you:
-are a law enforcement, fire department, public health or civil defense first responder for emergency management and disaster response in urban and rural locations.
-are responsible for strategic planning and/or tactics for use in responding to natural disasters and acts of terrorism
-want to gain knowledge of emerging technologies and establish strategies related to wireless technologies
-need a broader perspective on wireless and want to adopt an integrative approach
-are responsible for wireless policies and adoption of wireless Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) technologies
-want a practical perspective on wireless developments or want to increase your awareness of wireless technologies
