'Relationships in a Changing World' -- call for papers

The Gerontological Society of America is accepting abstracts for its 55th Annual Scientific Meeting

The Gerontological Society of America invites students and professionals to submit abstracts for its 55th Annual Scientific Meeting, to be held November 22-26, 2002, in Boston, MA. Abstracts should present completed research on some facet of gerontology; interdisciplinary reports are encouraged. All abstracts must be received by Monday, April 15, 2002. Online submission is available.

GSA’s Annual Scientific Meeting is the largest multidisciplinary gerontological meeting in the United States. The meeting draws more than 3,000 professionals nationwide and internationally in the field of aging. Last year’s meeting featured approximately 1,600 presentations in 400 sessions, all in one of the following four formats: poster presentation, paper presentation, symposium, or media presentation.

The theme for this year’s meeting is “Relationships in a Changing World: From Aging Cells to Aging Societies.” Abstracts may focus on that theme or be directed to one of four sections:

 Biological Sciences
 Behavioral and Social Sciences
 Clinical Medicine
 Social Research, Policy and Practice

Interested parties may submit an abstract online or download the Call for Papers from GSA’s annual meeting website, http://www.geron.org/AnnualMeeting/annual.htm#2002 For more information, please contact the Meetings Department at meetings@geron.org or
