Scholars discuss scientific research in education

Scientific Research In Education. Recent federal legislation, such as the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 and related policy initiatives, has focused the attention of policymakers, researchers and practitioners on the nature and value of "scientific" research in education.

In the November issue of Educational Researcher, two editors of the recent National Research Council (NRC) report, titled Scientific Research in Education, and six scholars who represent a broad range of approaches in educational research discuss the NRC report and key issues.
