American Academy of Neurology 55th Annual Meeting

Set for March 29-April 5 in Honolulu

WHAT: The American Academy of Neurology's 55th annual meeting -- the largest international neurology meeting in the world

WHEN: Saturday, March 29 through Saturday, April 5, 2003

WHERE: Hawaii Convention Center, Honolulu, Hawaii

WHY: The AAN annual meeting is the unsurpassed source for learning what's new and newsworthy in global neurological research and understanding. More than 1,000 poster and platform presentations will cover the spectrum of neurology, including:

New research presentations on a wide array of neurological conditions, including smallpox and West Nile Virus infections, sleep disorders, Parkinson's Disease, MS, Alzheimer's Disease, Ataxia, Cerebral Palsy, Stroke, Epilepsy, Prion Disease and more.

Presentations of major neurological awards, including the prestigious Potamkin Prize for Research into Pick's and Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders.

Actor Jerry Lewis will deliver the keynote speech at the AAN Scientific and Career Milestones Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 2.

More than 8,000 neurologists from around the world will be in attendance.

Onsite facilities will include the AAN Press Room, open March 29-April 4 and staffed by AAN representatives. The Press Room includes electrical hookups, telephones and access to online connections.

Presenter availabilities: Many of the speakers making scientific presentations at the meeting will be available for interviews at media conferences held in a meeting room near the AAN Press Room. Media conference schedules will be posted daily in the Press Room.
