DuPont innovation to be disclosed at 2003 AAAS Annual Meeting

DuPont scientist Dr. Scott Nichols will unveil the company's latest innovation February 14 during the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) annual meeting in Denver, Colorado.

The new bio-based method to be discussed by Nichols is expected to provide a platform for a wide range of products derived from renewable resources.

Further details will remain strictly embargoed, and may not be placed in the public domain until 12 noon Mountain Time / 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time Friday, February 14, to coincide with the AAAS presentation at Workshop D (Colorado Convention Center: Exhibit Hall A).

In addition to Nichols' presentation at the AAAS meeting, DuPont Central Research and Development vice president Dr. Uma Chowdhry will deliver her topical lecture, "Sustainability and Integrated Science for the 21st Century," on Saturday, Feb. 15 from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. at Convention Center Room A209. Also, staff and leading scientists--including nanotechnology researcher Dr. Tim Gierke--will be available at the DuPont booth (booths no. 207 and 209) in the exhibition area of the AAAS meeting, Colorado Convention Center.
