Developing more accurate detection technology for lung cancer was the goal of another study conducted by Kratzke. Preliminary data on immunohistochemical detection, a test that uses antibodies to detect which stage of lung cancer a patient is in, is promising. The rate of lung cancer detection in the lymph nodes doubled when using this measure. Kratzke will present the findings on both of these studies on Tuesday, June 3 at 10 a.m. at the American Society of Clinical Oncology 2003 Annual Meeting in Chicago.
