'Staying on Top of Your Game' media briefing

New research on value of exercise

Please join AFAR, leading biomedical researchers and retired professional athletes for an educational Media Briefing:

"Staying on Top of Your Game"

9:30 AM until Noon, July 16th, 2003
The New York Yacht Club--37 West 44th Street, NYC

"Staying on Top of Your Game" will explore the newly discovered benefits of exercise for older people, especially those with serious medical conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure. There will also be a discussion of which exercise programs are most effective for older people, and the motivational techniques most effective in getting older people--especially minorities--to join and stay with exercise programs.

A second panel of retired professional athletes from each of the four major sports leagues will share their experiences and tips on staying physically active as they age.
