AIUM to host 2004 annual convention June 19-22, in Phoenix, Arizona

More than 2,000 sonographers, physicians, engineers, scientists, physicists, manufacturers, medical students, and veterinarians are expected to meet in Phoenix for the world's largest meeting dedicated to diagnostic ultrasound.

Attendees will have the opportunity to view the newest and best in ultrasound technology, network with colleagues from around the world, and enhance their professional skills through categorical courses and scientific, Meet-the-Professor, Just Images, and film panel sessions. The 2004 convention will also feature scientific and commercial exhibits, as well as hands-on scanning courses including musculoskeletal and vascular ultrasound.

The 2004 preconvention program, which will take place the Saturday and Sunday before the convention, June 19 and 20, will feature five different courses: Evidence-Based Obstetric Ultrasound; Vascular Ultrasound: Where Does It Fit In Diagnosis and Management; Newest Trends in Gynecologic Ultrasound; Three-Dimensional Ultrasound for Obstetrics and Gynecology--An Update; and The Practice of Ultrasound.

Attendees of the 2004 AIUM Annual Preconvention Program and Convention will have the opportunity to earn up to 32 AMA PRA category 1 CME credits (16 convention CME credits, 11 preconvention CME credits, and 5 Meet-the Professor CME credits).

The AIUM is a multidisciplinary organization dedicated to advancing the art and science of ultrasound in medicine and research through its educational, scientific, and professional activities. The AIUM has been able to promote the safe and effective use of ultrasound in clinical medicine for more than 50 years.
