Solar heating: Large-scale project to be launched in Alberta

CALGARY -- On March 30, Senator Tommy Banks of Alberta will announce a collaboration among the Government of Canada, the Government of Alberta, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and a number of Canadian companies to build and operate the first community in North America to use solar heating on a large-scale. Senator Banks will make the announcement on behalf of the Honourable R. John Efford, Minister of Natural Resources Canada, and the Honourable Stéphane Dion, Minister of the Environment.
