    The Forum on Endocrine Disrupters
    June 3, 8:30 am

    Endocrinologists are unraveling the connection between natural and synthetic compounds, called Endocrine Disrupters, that mimic hormones or block hormones effects. Endocrine Disrupters cause developmental, reproductive and metabolic disorders and cancers, and their effects can cross generations.

    At the Forum on Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals studies will be presented highlighting the first research to conclude there is an effect of endocrine disrupting chemicals on humans, and the effects that these chemicals can have on succeeding generations of males.

    The day-long forum will feature prominent endocrine investigators presenting the most current information and recent discoveries on how hormonally-active compounds in food, drinking water and the environment are increasingly linked to endocrine-related dysfunctions. The forum will teach attendees about fetal exposure to endocrine disrupting chemicals as a basis for adult disease – particularly infertility, obesity and breast and prostate cancer.
