Communicating science through film

WASHINGTON -- The Marian Koshland Science Museum of the National Academy of Sciences will hold a program on communicating science through film, the first in a series on the techniques and challenges of communicating about science. Speaking will be Emmy AwardŽ-winning film and television director Alex Singer. Singer has directed over 280 television shows, including The Fugitive, Cagney and Lacey, Hill Street Blues, and Star Trek: The Next Generation. The program will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27

General admission is $10; student admission is $5. Members of the public should make reservations by calling 202-334-1201 or e-mailing ksm@nas.edu. Reporters who wish to cover this event must register in advance.

The museum is located at the corner of 6th and E streets, N.W., in Washington, D.C. -- one block from the MCI Center and the National Building Museum, three blocks from the National Mall, and one block from the Gallery Place and Judiciary Square Metrorail stations, serviced by the red, yellow, and green lines.
