Painting a Clear Picture – What Do The New Women's Health Initiative Findings Mean for Women?

WHAT: The Endocrine Society and The Hormone Foundation will host a teleconference to summarize new and existing research on the Women's Health Initiative (WHI) and what it all means.

Leading endocrinologists will provide an overview of previous research and data from the WHI, update on current research and why it matters, and address WHI safety and efficacy issues. Participants will highlight top WHI studies and findings from recent years and offer expert opinions on what it all means for women's health.

Participants include:
1. Robert Jaffe, M.D., Former President of The Hormone Foundation, Hormone Foundation Chair, Women's Health Task Force, Director of the Center for Reproductive Sciences and Fred Gallert Professor of Reproductive Medicine and Biology at University of California in San Francisco.

2. Lawrence Phillips, M.D., Principal Investigator, Women's Health Initiative, Professor of Medicine, Emory University.

3. Elizabeth Barrett-Connor, M.D., Professor, Family & Preventive Medicine; Cancer Prevention & Control Program; University of San Diego, Moores Cancer Center.
