WHAT: This study explores the relationship between lithotripsy and diabetes and hypertension originally reported by Kranbeck et al in 2006. Authors compared development rates of hypertension and diabetes mellitus in patients with ureteral and renal stones who underwent lithotripsy between 1984 and 1994 and now report on their findings.
