Investors' group managing $41 trillion seeks out climate change impacts on shareholder value

Carbon Disclosure Project report reveals responses from 1,300 corporations on greenhouse gas emissions; risks and opportunities

The Carbon Disclosure Project (www.cdproject.net) is the world's largest collaboration of institutional investors: 315 entities managing over US $41 trillion in assets.

In New York City Sept. 24, CDP will launch two key summary / analysis reports for 2007, based on 1,300 corporate responses to a detailed questionnaire:

The FT500 report: responses from the world's 500 largest corporations regarding potential impacts of climate change on shareholder value; and

The S&P500 report: responses from the USA’s largest 500 companies.

The Climate Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI), featured in the FT500 report, profiles corporations with best disclosure practice.

The CDP will also launch a major new corporate undertaking that will further illuminate anticipated impacts of climate change on global corporations and shareholder value.

Senior executives from CDP signatory investor and responding corporations will attend the launch event at Merrill Lynch, 4 World Financial Center, 250 Vesey Street, New York City.
