Poli to speak at Supply Chain Project Management Summit, Oct. 9

Stevens professor will discuss competitive advantage and value in supply chain management

HOBOKEN, N.J. — Stevens Institute of Technology Professor Michael Poli, Ph.D., will speak at the Supply Chain Project Management Summit, sponsored by Rutgers University, on October 9, 2007 at the Rutgers-Livingston Campus in Piscataway, N.J. Poli’s presentation is titled, “Project Strategy—The Path to Achieving Supply Chain Management Competitive Advantage/Value.”

Poli is a Distinguished Associate Professor at Stevens’ Howe School of Technology Management and is Associate Director for the school’s Project Management Program, which was accredited in 2004 by the Project Management Institute. Poli has contributed greatly to the Stevens’ Project Management Program and to the program’s success in graduating more than 500 students. He has taught project management at the Stevens campus, at corporate sites, online and in Paris, Beijing and the Dominican Republic.

The Rutgers Center for Supply Chain Management will host the summit to discuss project management in a supply chain environment. Speakers include Rich Fredricksen, Principal at Strong Leader, LLC; Michael Troccia, P.E., Director of Project Management for US Supply Chain Management; Michael J. Wohlfahrt, Associate Director for Novartis Pharmaceuticals; and Mark Vollrath, Director of Strategy and Systems for Global Supply Chain at Colgate-Palmolive.
