Howe School conference: The Rebirth of Location-Based Services -- the Next Great Idea, May 12

Expo will be presented jointly by Stevens and Kaufman Brothers

HOBOKEN, N.J. ¯ The Howe School of Technology Management at Stevens Institute of Technology and the investment bank of Kaufman Brothers will host the May 12 conference, “The Rebirth of Location-Based Services: The Next Great Idea,” at Stevens’ campus in Hoboken , N.J. The conference, which will be held in the Babbio Center , will address the resurgence of location-based technologies and focus on how current and future business applications will benefit from the wider availability of location data. Company presentations and discussion panels will include innovative location technologies, applications, advertising and business models. The conference will also feature exhibits in advanced locations services, telematics, enterprise business applications and mobile social networking.

A key note address and presentations from industry leaders coupled with panel discussions will offer insights into investment opportunities in established publicly traded firms, as well as emerging stage private companies. The conference will center on panels in the following areas:
