The National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), one of the National Institutes of Health, is celebrating its 60th anniversary with three special symposia during the 37th Annual Meeting of the American Association for Dental Research (AADR), convening here today at the Hilton Anatole Hotel.
The NIDCR 60th Anniversary Symposia are:
(Thursday, April 3)
(Friday, April 4)
(Saturday, April 5)
In addition to the three anniversary symposia, NIDCR will be holding a session on research training & career development, a workshop on grant writing, and meetings with training directors and trainees and junior scientists. Dr. Lawrence Tabak, NIDCR Director, will also report recommendations from the recently completed trans-NIH peer review study. AADR attendees will also have an opportunity to provide the first input into NIDCR’s next strategic plan.
“The AADR has always enjoyed a strong, mutually beneficial relationship with the NIDCR since its inception 60 years ago as the National Institute of Dental Research,” said AADR Executive Director Christopher H. Fox, “and we are delighted that they have chosen our Annual Meeting as a natural place to celebrate their anniversary.”
The AADR is joining in celebrating NIDCR’s 60 years of science by hosting a Welcome Reception in their honor on Wednesday, April 2, at 5 p.m.
