On Wednesday, April 29 a group of prominent scientists, engineers and graduate students, joined by Representatives Rush Holt (D-NJ) and Judy Biggert (R-IL), Co-Chairs of the House Research and Development Caucus, will hold a press briefing to discuss the link between federal investments in research and stimulating the economy. The participants will offer their perspectives and give examples of how investing in research pays economic dividends.
The press briefing is part of the annual "Congressional Visits Day" sponsored by the Science Engineering and Technology Working Group (SETWG), which is comprised of more than 30 organizations representing a broad cross section of science and technology in academia, government and private industry.
