GENDER DIFFERENCES AT CRITICAL TRANSITIONS IN THE CAREERS OF SCIENCE, ENGINEERING, AND MATHEMATICS FACULTY, a new congressionally mandated report from the National Research Council, examines the rates at which women and men are hired and promoted in science and engineering jobs at top U.S. research universities, and assesses the extent to which they have similar opportunities. The report will be released at a public briefing on Tuesday, June 2.
