Mayo Clinic Center for Innovation collaborative symposium on innovations in health care experience

ROCHESTER, Minn. -- The Mayo Clinic Center for Innovation will host Transform, a collaborative symposium on innovations in health care experience and delivery, Sept. 13-15, http://centerforinnovation.mayo.edu/transform. Transform will feature nationally recognized speakers discussing topics focused on innovation methodology and innovations in health care delivery models, including Web-based tools. The Center for Innovation work builds on a century of Mayo Clinic's experience implementing innovative ways to deliver better health care experiences to patients.

The symposium will feature over 20 presenters, including keynote speaker Clayton Christensen, D.B.A., professor at Harvard Business School and author of the best-selling book Innovator's Prescription. Other speakers include:

Session topics will include: Redefining Roles, Policy Perspectives, Enabling Technologies, Alternative Models and How We Pay for Them, Content – Community – Commerce – Care and Choices, and Designing for Social Change. Attendees at this symposium can connect with thoughtful colleagues from inside and outside the health care industry. "Many of history's greatest innovations resulted from the union of disciplines, from conversations that spanned schools of thought. The innovations in health care that help to foster population-level wellness will be no exception," says David Rosenman, M.D., a Mayo Clinic physician who practices Hospital Internal Medicine. He is the director of Mayo Clinic Innovation Curriculum and the Transform Symposium on Innovations in Health Care Experience and Delivery.

The symposium will be held at the Rochester Civic Center, 30 Civic Center Drive S.E. The symposium requires registration and is open to the public. Cost to attend is $800, $400 for Mayo employees.
