A National Research Council symposium, Beyond the Decade: The Future of International Astronomy, will be held on Friday, Oct. 9. The symposium will explore the contributions large-scale international projects can make to astronomy and appropriate objectives for these collaborations. The workshop will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Room 100 of the National Academies' Keck Center, 500 Fifth St., N.W., Washington, D.C.
