WHAT: The Center for Advancement of Informal Science Education (CAISE), with support from the National Science Foundation (NSF) is hosting "Surrounded by Science," a biennial summit designed to underscore the critical role of informal science education. The two- day summit will bring together more than 400 leaders from across the country, including principal investigators of NSF grants. Participants will report on the impacts of their work and explore emerging issues including the complex infrastructure that supports science learning outside of school, and the policies that advance and limit those opportunities. Speakers to include high level representatives from The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, NSF, NOAA, NIH/SEP and NASA and other leaders in the field.
