Public Release:  How pediatrics and politics are intertwined

American Academy of Pediatrics

NEW ORLEANS - Two of the nation's foremost political commentators, James Carville and Mary Matalin, will present the plenary session, "All's Fair: Love, War and Politics," at 12:10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, in the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center as part of the American Academy of Pediatrics National Conference and Exhibition in New Orleans.

Their session offers an entertaining look at today's political issues as well as a behind-the-scenes look at politics inside Washington and how today's headlines are playing out around the country. In addition to this plenary session, Carville and Matalin will lead an extended Q&A session in the exhibit hall at 12:45 p.m.

Carville and Matalin are key players on the national political stage--they each have over 30 years of experience in politics and have individually worked for Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. Matalin served as President George Bush's campaign manager in 1992, while her soon-to-be husband, Carville, was President Bill Clinton's campaign manager. Now they share their political opinions and affiliations--which haven't merged despite being married--with audiences everywhere and provide analysis of today's hot-button political issues from both sides of the political aisle.
