Dr. Arthur Agatston, pioneer of the revolutionary South Beach Diet and the best predictor of future heart attack, the Agatston Score, will be the keynote speaker Sept. 20 at the Harbor-UCLA Cardiovascular Division 2nd Annual Symposium sponsored by the Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute (LA BioMed).
The symposium, which begins at 8 a.m., will also include discussions of cardiovascular disease management, state-of-the-art cardiovascular imaging updates, a primer on new structural and valvular Heart Interventions, pulmonary hypertension updates and information on managing patients with adult congenital heart disease.
