Newsroom Registration

If you'd like access to the 2021 AAAS Annual Meeting Newsroom Briefings and schedule, please send an email to media@aaas.org with the subject "Request for Access to the 2021 AAAS Annual Meeting Newsroom Briefings". Include your full name and affiliation in the body of the email. Please note that this will only give you access to the news briefings. If you would like access to the other sections of the annual meeting, you will have to register by completing the form on this page https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/AM21PressReg.

The 2021 AAAS Annual Meeting will be held virtually. Please join us online February 8-11, 2021.

What can I expect at a virtual AAAS Annual Meeting?

The news briefing and media availability schedule will be available in late January 2021. First-time newsroom attendees should register online in advance to ensure you receive this update. Newsroom registrants will have access to all symposia sessions and other AAAS Annual Meeting events.
We will also hold an online AAAS Kavli Science Journalism Awards ceremony to honor professional journalists for their distinguished reporting. More information will be available soon.

Do I register with my AAAS ID or my EurekAlert! username?

Registration for the AAAS Annual Meeting Newsroom can only be completed with a AAAS ID. EurekAlert! usernames are not used for AAAS Annual Meeting Newsroom registration.

What is the difference between a AAAS ID and a EurekAlert! username?

A AAAS ID will be your email address. A EurekAlert! username is a self-selected login ID used to access the EurekAlert! website and is completely separate from AAAS Annual Meeting Newsroom registration.

How do I get a AAAS ID?

After your request for newsroom registration has been approved, you will receive a link via email requesting you to create your AAAS ID. This ID (your email address) will be used to gain access to the annual meeting events online.
