New species of elusive loriciferans described in French seas, with rare video of these microscopic animals.

Just what are loriciferans? Author Ricardo Neves describes loriciferans as follows: "Loriciferans are free living animals that inhabit marine environments worldwide. The minute loriciferan body (<0.5 mm) is divided into a head - with several rings of spine-like appendages - neck, thorax and an abdomen encased by a cuticular exoskeleton called a lorica."
