About the Fellowships
The EurekAlert! Fellowships for International Science Reporters support excellence in science communication globally, with a focus on developing regions and emerging economies.
Established in 2004 with a seed grant from the William T. Golden Endowment Fund for Program Innovation and sponsored by EurekAlert!, the AAAS-operated science-news service, the EurekAlert! Fellowships for International Science Reporters provide early-career science, technology, and health journalists opportunities to cover the latest research and network with peers from around the world at the AAAS Annual Meeting.
In the 15 years since the program's inception, 72 Fellowships have been awarded. The fellows have come from Africa, Central and South America, the Middle East, India, China, and for the first time in 2018, the Balkan region.
Johns Hopkins Medicine has pledged support for the 2019 Fellowship program. Please check back for more details on the 2019 application process.
