Photocatalytic nonoxidative coupling of methane to ethylene over carbon-doped ZnO/Au catalyst

A stoichiometric photocatalytic methane conversion via 2CH4 = C2H4 + 2H2 is achieved over C-ZnO/Au due to reduced excitonic binding energy and stable lattice oxygen.
