Caption
Thomas Marler (left) and Gil Cruz (center) measure cycad plant size traits in the foothills of Mount Pinatubo, Philippines, along with Ulysses Ferreras (right) from the Philippine Native Plants Conservation Society. Marler and Cruz have co-authored a new study from research conducted from 2003–2010 that details the role of plant size in population-level responses of cycad plants to a new invasion of the armored scale Aulacaspis yasumatsui.
