A Reversible Color-Changing Donor-Acceptor Pyrazinacene Crystal (IMAGE)
Caption
A donor-acceptor pyrazinacene derivative with triphenylamine substituents selectively detects naphthalene via π-hole⋅⋅⋅π interactions, inducing a striking, reversible color change from greenish-blue to red-violet. Crystallographic and DFT studies reveal the ICT-CT interplay, establishing an innovative platform for adaptive and highly sensitive colorimetric sensors.
