[1] World-First Discovery, Autophagy Induction Enhances Precision Gene Editing Efficiency (IMAGE)
Caption
Illustration showing how autophagy induction increases the efficiency of precise gene editing. In normal cells, DNA breaks caused by CRISPR–Cas9 are frequently repaired through non-homologous end joining (NHEJ), resulting in unintended insertions or deletions (INDELs). When autophagy is activated, cells shift toward accurate repair via homologous recombination, enabling more efficient and precise gene editing as intended.
