Reaction mechanism of Y4Al2O9/Y2O3 composite with CMAS at 1300 °C and 1500 °C (IMAGE)
Caption
The reaction products varied with time at 1300 °C and 1500 °C after the reaction between the Y4Al2O9/Y2O3 and CMAS. At 1300 °C, the apatite layer, the garnet layer and a dual-phase layer formed with the increased time from 1 h to 50 h, accompanied by the thickness change of various reaction layers. At 1500 °C, the apatite layer, the garnet layer, a cuspidine layer and a dual-phase layer formed with the increased time from 1 h to 50 h, accompanied by the thickness change of various reaction layers.
