A newly developed intraoral device integrates diagnostic imaging and photodynamic therapy to detect and treat early-stage oral cancer. The handheld tool uses fluorescence imaging to identify lesions and delivers targeted light therapy to destroy cancerous tissue. Compact and affordable, it is designed for use in low-resource settings.
