Exposure to stress calls emitted by mice experiencing pain triggers inflammation and pain responses in naïve mice (IMAGE)
Caption
Pain responses are triggered in response to physical injury as well as psychological or emotional stressors. However, the mechanisms underlying social or emotional pain transmission are poorly understood. A new study by researchers from Tokyo University of Science explores the association between sound stress exposure, pain perception, and inflammation in mice.
