The PSI physicists Dario Ferreira Sanchez and Margie Olbinado with Vlad Novak from the technology transfer centre ANAXAM (left to right) in the hall of the Swiss Light Source SLS. The researchers used synchrotron light, among other things, to investigate whether zinc leaches from the needle shield into the drug formulation and can contribute to clogging of the pre-filled syringes.
