Severe Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia to be treated with low-dose methylprednisolone

Pediatric pneumonia caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae is treated with antibiotics, alone or in combination with glucocorticoids for inflammation control, with the optimal dose of glucocorticoids in question.  Scientists now found that low-dose of methylprednisolone has better efficacy and favorable safety profile.
