Different Survival Strategies of HTLV-1 and HIV-1 (IMAGE)
Caption
HTLV-1 uses a silencer region and the RUNX protein complex to suppress its gene activity and stay hidden in the body. In contrast, HIV-1 lacks this mechanism, leading to active virus production and cell death. This highlights a fundamental difference in how the two viruses survive and spread.
