Design of the visible–infrared adaptive camouflage device (IMAGE)
Caption
Schematic of the TCM–MWG–TED structure. The upper thermochromic (TCM) layer provides visible camouflage with high transparency in the 8–14 μm mid-infrared range. The middle layer consists of a multi-walled carbon nanotube/waterborne polyurethane–ionic liquid gel/graphite electrode (MWCNT/WPU-IL/graphite) structure for emissivity (ε) regulation, while the lower thermoelectric device (TED) controls the surface temperature (T).
