The role of Dcir during infection with Aspergillus fumigatus (IMAGE)

Dcir recognizes Aspergillus fumigatus hyphae and dampens the degranulatory activity of neutrophils. Without Dcir, neutrophils show enhanced fungicidal activity, and the host’s ability to eliminate the pathogen is improved.
