From sequence to structure: Bitter taste receptor structure prediction using the AI-based model AF3

Bitter taste receptors are not only expressed in oral cavity cells but also in the gastrointestinal lining. To understand the diverse functions of these receptors, understanding the structure is extremely important. In this study, the researchers have used an artificial intelligence (AI)-based prediction model AlphaFold3 (AF3) to understand the structure of these taste receptors.
