A nationwide Korean study of 8,500 patients found oxaliplatin-based chemotherapy boosts survival in stage III colorectal cancer only for those aged 70 or younger. In patients over 70, the drug showed no survival benefit and caused higher treatment dropout due to side effects. Stage II patients saw no benefit at any age.
