The diagram depicts negative feedback mechanisms via IκB proteins and A20 in the canonical pathway, and IKKα onto NIK in the non-canonical pathway. There are cross-talk mechanisms such as NIK activating the canonical NEMO-containing IKK complex or canonically-activated NFκB inducing p100 or A20 synthesis.
