Brain Responds to Others’ Actions (IMAGE)
Caption
The illustration shows the three experimental conditions. In the first (Photo), participants saw a static image of a hand in the final phase of a movement. In the second (Video), they watched the movement itself in a video. In the third (Postvideo), participants first saw the video and then a static frame showing the completed movement. In each case, transcranial magnetic stimulation was applied at different moments: immediately after the start of the movement or after its completion.
