Caption
The Hula painted frog (Latonia nigriventer), a species from northern Israel once thought to be extinct, is one of the amphibians that scored highest in the Proactive Conservation Index. It has a very restricted distribution, which is projected to be severely threatened by climate change, land use change and biological invasions in multiple future scenarios.
