Support cells in the brain called astrocytes (green) increase their levels of STAT3 activation (pSTAT3, magenta) in a mouse model of dementia. This promotes changes in gene expression and inflammation associated with disease. Blocking Complex III ROS suppresses astrocytic pSTAT3 and reduces brain pathology.
