Endoscopic Ultrasound — Caption

The image shows an ultrasound endoscope in the stomach imaging the pancreas (left picture) and corresponding small pancreatic cancer that is undergoing fine needle biopsy under endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) guidance. EUS is one of the main tools used for surveillance of high risk individuals and it can detected and diagnose asymptomatic tumors in the pancreas during a routine surveillance visit.
