Drs. Ahmed Abdelaal and Aarthi Sekaran recently published a paper in a special issue of MDPI's Fluids, which shows that endotracheal tube cuff design and ventilator mode significantly alter airflow near the cuff, a region linked to long-term ventilation complications.
