Region-Specific Brain Metabolic Changes Following LPS-Induced Acute Inflammation (IMAGE)
Caption
This illustration depicts the experimental workflow using a mouse model of LPS-induced acute systemic inflammation and PiTMaP-based metabolomics. Metabolic profiles were compared across major brain regions—including the cerebrum, hippocampus, cerebellum, and hypothalamus—revealing that only the cerebrum showed marked metabolic alterations. Projection to latent structures-discriminant analysis highlights clear separation between control and LPS-treated mice, underscoring cerebrum-specific vulnerability to inflammation-driven metabolic disruption.
