Researchers have demonstrated that AI models combined with DOCI, an imaging approach that reads out the natural glow of tissue, can classify thyroid cancer subtypes and draw detailed maps of tumor regions in ex vivo surgical specimens with high potential to support intraoperative assessment and surgical planning.
